Moldavia’s citadels
The Citadel of Suceava is one of the most important historical site owned by the Museum of Bucovina. Built in the heyday of medieval Moldova, she made history by never being conquered. Also, Neamț Fortress is shrouded in historical legends. It would have heroically resisted the 19 ,,plăieși” in front of the siege of the Polish king Sobieski. Here the mother of Ștefan cel Mare - the ruler asked him not to seek refuge there, but to return heroically to the fight.
