Subcarpati is a contemporary cultural manifesto - a musical project started in 2010 by MC Bean (Marius Alexe Andrei), which harmoniously combines elements of hip-hop and electronic music with influences from Romanian folklore. Genre adopted is described as contemporary folk or folk underground and generally consists of reinterpretations of Romanian folklore pieces of modern rhythms.
